Starting is the hardest thing you can do. I know I was overwhelmed with the amount of weight I have to lose and the hard yards I needed to take. But, as I progress I realise you don’t have to do it all at once. Take your time. Do it with a friend. Make it enjoyable. The important thing is you move. Remember you will be lapping everybody on the couch.
Another thing is you can set your own pace. Start small. Finish big. If you are doing this with a goal in mind and you reach your goal, guess what? You keep going. Maybe you don’t want to lose more weight but you do want to maintain what you have achieved. Keep up the better nutrition and regular exercise. This is for life.
It took me 48 years to come to this realization. I regret that I didn’t start sooner. I am only week two and I feel fantastic. I’m so happy. My anxiety is all but gone and I’m getting natural vitamin D. I get to hang with a friend every day. My family are commenting on all my positive changes.
When I picked my friend up today I had to admit I would not be able to walk far. But, I said, let’s do some inclines instead. We worked hard but walk less. Two of my toes are quite painful but I was not going to let that prevent me from walking. Off to see my GP today to make sure there is no infection. Bloody better not be I’ve got a big goal for next week.
